The Daytona from Rolex
The Rolex Daytona (aka the Rolex Cosmograph) is one of the most sought after and desired watches in the world. One could try to walk down to their Rolex authorized dealer to buy a steel model (Rolex 116520), but unless you have a relationship with the jeweler, you will likely be put on a long waiting list.
The modern models house the Rolex Caliber 4130, featuring a long 72 hour power reserve, a Parachrom Bleu Breguet balance spring, and a glucydur balance with microstella regulating screws. The dial glows brightly with Super Luminova applied to the hands and markers. The Parachrom spring has quietly been added to many of the Rolex calibers since 2002, but the long 72 hour power reserve remains unique to the Rolex Daytona.
