Stainless Steel, Oyster bracelet (SEL) with flip-lock, Rolex branded rehaut (RBR), fixed 24 hour bezel, white dial, automatic Chronometer (Cal. 3186), dual time zone, date, ''Parachrom Bleu'' hairspring, screw-down crown, Ref. 16570, M serial, papers dated November 2008, 40mm, Like New in Box with Papers

  • The classic Explorer II 16570 was released in 1990. The original model had the Rolex 3185 caliber, tritium markers, holed lugs, and was offered in white or black dials.
    Rolex continued to produce this series until 2011. Around 1999 (in the midst of the A series), the bracelet was updated with the Solid-End-Link (SEL) bracelet and and Superluminova luminous material. In 2003 (F series), they dropped the lug holes. The final change was in 2007 (M series) when Rolex started installing the 3186 caliber.
    It was replaced by the 216570 in 2011.
