Daytona Cosmograph : 16520

Stainless Steel, Oyster Bracelet with flip-lock clasp, tachymeter bezel, white dial, automatic Chronometer (Cal. 4030 (Zenith base)), 12-hour chronograph, screw-down crown and pushers, Ref. 16520, ca. 1995, 40mm, Mint in Box with Papers

  • Width: 40 mm / Height: 47 mm / Thickness: 12 mm / Lug Width: 20 mm

  • The 16520 was the first automatic Daytona, introduced in 1988 and produced until 2000. It marked the end of the manually wound era (like the Valjoux 72-based 6263) and the beginning of Rolex's move toward fully in-house calibers (eventually with the 116520 in 2000). The Zenith-based 4030 was modified by Rolex to reduce the beat rate and increase reliability and service intervals.
