PJ’s Watch Notes of the Week

Omega : Constellation : 1302.30

I consider the Omega Constellation to be one of the most undervalued models in the Omega line.  This piece has the same COSC certified Omega 1120/ETA 2892-2 caliber that you would find in a Seamaster of the same late 90s/early 2000s vintage.  The case is slim and wears well with a cuff.  The 36mm is not as small as one might think, the integrated bracelet tapers slowly making it appear a little larger on the wrist.

Rolex Datejust II in 18k & 904L Steel

This is the first Preowned Datejust II in this style we have come across, this model is still so new, no one is trading out of them yet.  This specific piece is pristine, it would pass for new, it even retains much of the original factory plastic.  We are including our one year warranty on it and the price is at least $1,000 less than you can find it for brand new.

Ball : Conductor Chronograph Limited Edition : CM1068D-LJ-WH

We ran across a small closeout of these Limited Edition Conductor Chronographs.  Ball is not a brand we see new or at any significant discount very frequently, so we jump on it when we get the chance.  We recommend you do the same.  These pieces have a ton of interesting texture on the dial and a great wrist presence, reminding me of a cross between a Baume Mercier Hampton City and a Corum Bubble.

Girard-Perregaux : Ferrari ‘275 Lemans’ Chronograph

One of the later pieces to come out of the partnership with Ferrari.  This piece has the subtle sportiness that Girard-Perregaux is so good at effecting.   The case is large but not oversized at 40mm and commemorates the 1965 Le Mans win of the North American Racing Team.

  1. I have one, even when you can only see the strap it is immediately identifiable as Omega, they are superb.
