    This is a collector’s condition quality Omega Speedmaster Solar Impulse edition. The Swiss Solar Impulse project aimed to fly around the globe powered only by energy from the sun. This aim was recently realized (2016) by the Solar Impulse 2 aircraft. The watch is unusual for a Speedmaster in several ways. It is made of Titanium with a carbon fiber dial, making it significantly lighter (at just under 130 grams) than a normal Speedmaster. The airplane tipped GMT arm is a nod to the eccentric Speedmaster Mark models, and the GMT function is an unusual complication for a Speedmaster. Of course, it would not be a Speedmaster without a 12-hour chronograph function.
