Rolex Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) signifies a fresh authentication and service, performed by Rolex themselves, along with a balance of factory warranty for extra peace of mind.
The 16520 was the first automatic Daytona, introduced in 1988 and produced until 2000. It marked the end of the manually wound era (like the Valjoux 72-based 6263) and the beginning of Rolex's move toward fully in-house calibers (eventually with the 116520 in 2000). The Zenith-based 4030 was modified by Rolex to reduce the beat rate and increase reliability and service intervals.
