Stainless Steel, Oyster bracelet with flip-lock clasp, unidirectional rotating diver bezel, black dial, automatic Chronometer (Cal. 3035), date, screw-down crown, Ref. 16800, 8.4 mil. serial, ca. 1985, 40mm, Near Mint- Width: 40 mm / Height: 48 mm / Thickness: 12 mm / Lug Width: 20 mm
The 16800 is a notable transitional model. Unlike the earlier 1680 model, it uses a sapphire crystal; while still having the matte dial. The movement was upgraded to the 3035 caliber a clear improvement over the slow beat 1575 caliber. The 16800 was made of 316 steel, like the earlier models, not the 904 grade that would follow.
