ETA Valjoux 7750 Watches Watches

Economy of design while delivering the highest standards of reliability and durability are the hallmarks of the ETA Valjoux 7750 and its variations. It boasts 25 jewels and both time and stopwatch functions, hour and minute dials and day and date indicator on the standard version. It is one of the finest Swiss movements ever produced and will be found at the heart of many high-end Swiss watches including Breitling, Panerai, Tag Heuer, Longines, and all of the fine Swiss chronographs on these pages.

ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse has a long and fascinating history in the manufacture of highest quality Swiss watches. Although formally founded by Urs Schild and Dr. Joseph Girard as 'Dr. Girard & Schild' in 1856, some branches of production can be traced back to 1793 and the founding of Fabriques d'Horlogerie de Fontainemelon (Watch Factories of Fontainemelon). The company was renamed Eterna in 1905.

Through a complicated series of mergers and acquisitions of Swiss watch manufacturing companies throughout the 20th century, the present day ETA SA was formed in 1978 and is the largest manufacturer of Swiss movements, operating as a subsidiary of The Swatch Group Limited.

Valjoux SA, located in the picturesque village of Les Bioux in the Swiss Jura, is a subsidiary of ETA and also part of the Swatch Group. It is the sole manufacturer of the ETA Valjoux 7750 Swiss chronograph movement, which enjoys the status of being the best known and most widely used of Swiss movements. It was introduced to the world in 1974 and realized rapid success due to its highly functional and reliable integrated self-winding mechanism and design innovations which achieved enhanced reliability along with reduced production costs.
