Titanium Watches Watches

Titanium gained wide favor in Cold War military applications, so it is natural that watches made of titanium are traditionally of a military style. Pilots, divers and drivers all benefit from the light weight of titanium, nearly 45% lighter than steel. With a tensile strength of 63,000 psi, compared to 316L Surgical Stainless steel at 84,000 psi there is very little reason to choose steel over titanium based solely on strength. Titanium is also naturally more corrosion resistant than platinum, so it offers durability under harsh chemical conditions. Unlike 316L, titanium contains no chromium or nickel and is suitable for those with those contact allergies.
